School Evaluation Description

The purpose of this assignment is to rate a school's technology environment, to figure out to what extent the plan is in effect and to evaluate it. The answers to these questions were found by conducting an evaluation of a school's technology environment by using the Technology Maturity Benchmarks Rubric. 

After conducting this survey, I have discovered that there are many moving parts to a school's technology program.  Many people have to work together to make technology in a school successful.

I have learned there are many aspects to a school's technology program.  The Maturity Model Benchmark Rubric really helped me focus on the details of the school's technology programs, internet use, buy-in to technology programs and technology resources used within the school to improve student learning.

Creating - Based on the Maturity Model Benchmarks Rubric, I created an accurate evaluation of a school's technology program.

• Using - By using the Maturity Model Benchmarks Rubric, conversations, and observations, I was able to understand the level of technology integration at the school I interviewed.

• Assessing/Evaluating - By using the Maturity Model Benchmarks Rubric, conversations, and observations, I was able to make an accurate evaluation of the school's technology program.

• Managing -By speaking with the grant writer and interviewing the school's instructional coach, I was able to understand the technology infrastructure and future goals for the school's technology integration program.

• Ethics - By following the Maturity Model Benchmarks Rubric, I was able to make an accurate and ethical evaluation of the school's technology program.
